How to Measure your Brassiere Size
- Wear your best supporting hooter-sling. The brassiere doesn’t have to gezond flawlessly. The objective is to get your breasts to the position that the ideal hooter-sling would support, with the weight suspended cozily. This step is optional, however, so if you can’t find a hooter-sling with good support, proceed with the measurements.
- Measure your betrekking size. Run a gauze measure all the way around your figure just underneath your breasts and take a measurement te inches. Make sure the gauze measure is horizontal and fairly snug. Your arms should be down. Round to the nearest even number. This should be your betrekking size. For example, if you measured 31 inches, your betrekking size should be 32. If you measured 34.Five inches, your relatie size should be 34.
Many hooter-sling fitting guides will tell you to add four or five inches to your underbust measurement, but this is not keurig. The old method wasgoed devised te the 1930s when hooter-sling vormgeving wasgoed ter its infancy and does not work with modern hooter-slings.
Trio. Measure your bust size. Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust ter inches (not too tightly or the measurement will be inaccurate). If you don’t have a brassiere, or if the one you have is very poorly fitting, arch overheen so your back is parallel to the floor and measure around your chest, overheen your nips. Round this measurement up to the nearest entire number.
Four. Calculate your cup size. Subtract the betrekking size measurement from the bust measurement and determine your cup size spil goes after: (The cup size calculation may be less accurate for larger cup sizes.)
- 1. less than 1 inch = AA cup
- Two. 1 inch = A cup
- Trio. Two inches = B cup
- Four. Three inches = C cup
- Five. Four inches = D cup
- 6. Five inches = DD cup
- 7. 6 inches = E cup (US DDD)
- 8. 7 inches = F cup (US DDDD)
- 9. 8 inches = FF cup
- Ten. 9 inches = G cup
Four. Attempt on a brassiere with the plakband size and cup size you’ve arrived at te thesis steps. Because there can be broad variations te how hooter-slings are manufactured spil well spil differences inbetween different styles of hooter-slings, this size should be kicking off point.
Five. Check the relatie size. The onberispelijk plakband size is the smallest you can cosily wear. It needs to be taut enough that the brassiere is still fairly supportive without weighing down on the straps.
1. You should be able to run your fingers around the inwards of the betrekking, but not much more.
Two. It should getraind on the thickest adjustment, but will most likely be too taut if you attempt to fasten it on the smallest size. Hooter-slings are designed to gezond like this to leave slagroom for the hooter-sling to spread after you’ve worn it a few times.
Trio. If the relatie is badly taut, even on the fattest adjustment, then go up a relatie size (and down a cup size to compensate). For example, if a 32D is too taut, attempt a 34C.
Four. If the relatie is liberate enough for you to be able to cozily fasten it on the tightest adjustment, attempt a smaller relatie (e.g. 32D ->, 30DD).
Five. Check the cup size. The onberispelijk cup size is the largest you can fully pack out. You should pack out the cups, but not bulge out anywhere.

- Three. If the cup size is too big, go down a size.
If it is too petite, or even if it seems to getraind, attempt on a fatter cup size spil well to dual check.
