The other thing I would put in the “don’t” column is don’t post a photo of yourself with your ex-girlfriend choppped out–it’s obvious to us…please just get someone to take a few photos of you alone. I breeze over all the profiles of men who have long blond hair grazing their shirt or a well manicured hand resting on one shoulder–they are obviously (a) not over their exes or (b) not far enough removed in time from their previous relationships (c) far too embarrassed about online dating to ask their friends to take a couple of photos…
